Challenge Time at -The CuttleBug Spot: Scrap Sandwich

Hello Bloggy Friends,
It's time for another terrific challenge over at The Cuttlebug Spot !! This weeks challenge is called Scrap Sandwich (use scraps & layers). Now expect a lot of people to join in on this challenge, because if your like me I am sure you have a tub of just scraps !! I try so hard not to ever cut up a new pieces of paper I will always go through my scraps first. I use to just throw all my scraps into a tote, but about 2 months ago I went through it and made clean cuts on all my scraps. I did this so they would all have straight edges and not get tangled on each other. If you were wondering, YES, I am OCD (lol)!! This has not only made my scraps look neater but I was able to downsize my tote as well. Any who, who wants to see my card!!
Here is the card I came up with for this challenge....

Everything on my card, except the card base was indeed made using all scraps. I used the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge, this cartridge has so many cute cuts on it. My tree was cut from page 50 in the handbook and is cut at 4.5". My card base is a standard A2 size card. The sentiment is from an old Stampin' Up stamp set I have ( don't know the name, sorry).
I hope you all enjoy my card !! I hope this inspires you to get your scraps out and join in on the fun. We always have fabulous prizes up for grabs, we would love to see your projects. Thanks for Stopping by!!

Hello Bloggy Friends,

I added some buttons with yellow twine from my stash. I embossed the background with the Stampin Up "Elegant Lines" folder. and inked around the edges of the paper with Tim Holtz (tumbled glass) distress ink.

Challenge #138 - Be ye thankful

Hello Bloggy Friends,
It's time for another great challenge this week over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This weeks challenge is, Make a Thank You card !! Everyone should be able to participate in this challenge, I am always in need one of these cards to have on hand, don't you !? I hope you all will join in with this weeks challenge!! Here is what I came up with....

My card is a standard A2 Size card. My cute little die-cut is from the Country Life Cricut Cartridge. I just bought this cartridge!! I went to a scrapbooking retreat in October and one of the girls there had this cartridge and needless to say, I fell in love with it. My die-cut is cut at 3", I new I wanted to use bakers twine for the thread so I wrapped that around the spool. My Sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets from Scrappy Mom Stamps , "The Charmed Life". I actually based my whole card around this sentiment.
I hope you all enjoy my card, I also hope this inspires you to get out and create your own Thank You card, for this challenge.

Exciting News!!!

Hello Bloggy Friends,
It has been a great month for me, I am here to tell everyone, that I am now apart of  The Cuttlebug Spot DT!!! I am a very devoted blogger and I am so super excited to have such great Bloggy Friends and such a great support system :)
This weeks Challenge is 'Use 3 different embossing/diecutting items' !! Here is what I came up with. I got two new Cricut cartridges this week and decided to showcase one of them .
I used the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge to make this card along with the Cricut Imagine Mr. Frosty Cartridge for the patterned paper in the background . I know this cartridge has been around for awhile, but my Joann's has been having some pretty good deals on Cartridges, so I try to buy a couple every other week. An addiction you say !!! Yes that's an accurate assumption lol :)
My card is a standard A2 size card . My snowflake is cut at 3" and this is the first one in the handbook.I just realized I also used the Mr. Frosty Cartridge on the snowflake as well for the colors. I wanted them to coordinate with the background paper.
Sorry that you cannot see the embossing on the white all that well, I asked Santa (aka my Husband ) for a new camera for Christmas :)
I Hope you all enjoy my project and make sure you all go check out The Cuttlebug Spot to join this weeks challenge.

FCCB Challenge #136 Fall Harvest

Hello Bloggy Friends,
Ok, so I am super EXCITED!! This is my first official post for FCCB as a new DT member. This Monday's challenge is to, Make a Project using Fall leaves. I just love all the projects that my DT sisters came up with. Make sure you all enter this weeks challenge it goes until Sunday Nov.11th.
Here is my card that I came up with...
Give A Hoot & Stretch Your Imagination

The (Give A Hoot) cricut cartridge, is just so adorable there are just so many cute cuts on it. I am a huge animal nut, so if you are an animal lover, this cartridge is for you.
My card base measures at 4.25x5.5 .My cute little squirrel was cut as 3.5 on page 51 in the handbook. In the handbook he is holding an acorn, I just didn't cut that layer because I knew I wanted to use a leaf. The leafs are cut at 1" and 0.75", the leaf that the squirrel is holding is from the same cartridge on page 28 and the other leafs are from, Stretch Your Imagination on page 48.
I hope you all enjoy my card !! Also, I am sure you all notice I am doing my post a little bit differently. I decided not to list every single type of materials used, it got to be a lot of work to post it all. I will be more than happy to tell anyone the materials on any of my cards all you have to do is ask.
Thanks For Stopping By
